This rug has much more wool in it than the average carpet of the same size. It has three strands of wool per knot versus the standard of two plys of wool. It makes the carpet very thick and lush. The quality of wool also has an incredible sheen to it. The pattern is floral with larger medallions and arms placed over the top. The field color is black with a rust border and a lovely gold overtone to the whole rug.
