Ms. Chen's recent engagements include performances on five continents at
venues including Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, L.A's Dorothy Chandler
Pavilion, Wolf Trap, the Mozarteum in Salzburg, National Concert Hall in
Taipei, the Cultural Center of Hong Kong, and Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow. She
has performed as soloist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, National Symphony
Orchestra, London Philharmonic,
National Symphony of Taiwan, and the State Symphony Orchestra of Mexico. She
has been featured on the CBS Evening News and NPR, as well as before
prominent dignitaries such as the Princess of Thailand and the Prime Minister
of Malaysia. Her performances have been broadcast throughout the US, Europe,
Africa and Asia.
A Steinway Artist, Ms. Chen has won several competitions including the 1995
Petschek Award which sponsored her New York recital debut. First Prize in the
1993 Mieczyslaw Munz International Competition, and Grand Prize in the 1984
Piano Guild International Recording Competition.
Ms. Chen received graduate degrees from the Juilliard School and New England
Conservatory of Music, and a Bachelor of Arts in composition from Harvard
University, Magna Cum Laude. |
