First Prize winner of Denmark's 1996 Carl Nielsen International Violin
Competition, Adele Anthony enjoys a rapidly expanding world-wide career.
Among the highlights of her current season are debuts with the Iceland
Symphony and City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong, and chamber music
performances at Japan's Sega International Music Festival.
At age 10, Adele Anthony played in a Royal Command Performance before HRH
Prince Charles. She has appeared with all six orchestras of the Australian
Broadcasting Corporation, performed frequently with Auckland Philharmonic and
the New Zealand Symphony, and made her debut with the Singapore Symphony. She
has
performed with the orchestras of Milwaukee, El Paso, Long Beach, and
Richmond, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Budapest
Philharmonic, and the
Davos International Music Festival in Switzerland.
Adele Anthony studied at the University of Adelaide and attended the Aspen
Music Festival as a Starling Fellow. At New York's famed Juilliard School,
Miss Anthony worked with Dorothy DeLay, Felix Galimir and Hyo Kang. Her
recordings include the Philip Glass Violin Concerto with the Ulster
Orchestra, an all-Schubert album, and Arvo Part's Tabula rasa with Gil
Shaham, Neeme Jarvi and the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra. |
